Jeezy Files for Divorce from Jeannie Mai After Two Years of Marriage

Rapper Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, has filed for divorce from his wife, TV personality Jeannie Mai Jenkins, after two years of marriage. The divorce paperwork was filed on September 14, 2023, in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia.

According to the divorce filing, Jeezy is seeking joint custody of the couple’s 1-year-old daughter, Monaco. The filing also states that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and that there is “no hope for reconciliation.”

Jeezy and Mai met in 2018 on the set of Mai’s talk show, The Real, and began dating soon after. They announced their engagement in November 2020 and were married in a private ceremony in March 2021.

The couple’s divorce comes as a surprise to many, as they have always been very public about their relationship. They have frequently collaborated on professional projects and have always spoken about their love and respect for each other.

However, there have been some rumors of trouble in paradise in recent months. In August 2023, Mai was absent from her hosting duties on The Real for several weeks, and some fans speculated that she was having marital problems.

It is unclear what led to Jeezy and Mai’s divorce. However, they have both asked for privacy during this difficult time.
